Whats cooking in your kitchen today

3 pans 1 ring....  These pans I inherited from my grandma, they are so useful now that there is only 2 of us, it means we can still have a nice selection of vegetables and only use one ring of the cooker.

 In my pans today we have Cauliflower, Sprouts and Carrots. The potatoes are roasting in the oven with the chicken and a couple of onions, so just the gravy to make for our lovely roast chicken dinner.
 I hate putting the oven on unless I'm going to fill it up so I have made a beef goulash , which will cook quite happily along side the Chicken.
 For this goulash I have used
450gm Stewing Steak
1 Onion
1teaspoon lazy garlic
1 Red Pepper
Handful of chestnut mushrooms
1 lg can chopped tomatoes + 1 can water
2 desertspoons plain flour
1 desertspoon Paprika
Salt and Pepper

Fry the beef with the onion and garlic, add the flour and paprika coat the meat and cook a little. Add the tomatoes, water and the pepper and mushrooms, season with the salt and pepper. Stir well and place in oven for about 2hours or until the meat is nice and tender.  Delicious served with some creamy mashed potatoes and green veg.

Next we have some Roasted veg done with herbs and olive oil.
 For this I have in the tray a couple of red peppers some mushrooms onion a few slices of frozen homegrown courgettes and a couple of soft tomatoes. Sprinkle with herbs and a good sprinkle of Olive oil and pop into the oven until nice and soft and a bit gooey.
 So here it all is in the oven cooking, just the homemade stuffing balls to add at the last minute to heat through. .  We will have the roasted veggies tomorrow with any left over roasties and chicken and the goulash will be frozen for a later date.

And lastly this is me looking half asleep, not a very flattering photo. Just about to go and have that cuppa that you can see brewing.
